#BankFailFriday - Personal Finance Expert Suze Orman and the #FDIC campaign for myFDICinsurance.gov
The FDIC created the myFDICinsurance.gov website to help teach the public about FDIC insurance and to show the many ways the insurance can be used to protect deposits in excess of $250,000. The FDIC created the public service campaign featuring Personal Finance Expert Suze Orman, @suzeormanshow on Twitter, who urges the banking public to use EDIE the Estimator to make sure their money is 100% FDIC insured.
We strongly recommend you visit this site and use the tool regardless of the amount of money you have in the bank. It is a great idea to understand how this system works to protect your deposits. The last thing we want is for you to lose your hard earned cash in the event of a bank failure and we know there will be many more in 2010.
